PHOTOGRAPHY!

A mixture between Tim Walker and eugenio recuenco, both equally amazing

So far so good with ERP...I'm feeling pretty confident about it all. I've been thinking about how I'm going to communicate my brand and I've decided I'm going to some photography for my promotion packaged as well as invites, swing tags, business cards etc.
I've asked my friend Siobhan to model and my friend Bianca to take the photographs, so I'm going to have a good at the styling for the shoot. Hopefully it will be taking place Wed or Thurs next week.
Bianca gave me some amazing photographers to refer to....

Katie Thompson

Thompson uses recycled materials to make a professionally finished product. Links well to my project as I'm looking into different products and especially luggage.

Really love her work. I must say I prefer her furniture pieces, but its all quite clever

Printemps Windows

Amazing...up there with Harvey Nics windows!

Comme Des Garcons

Comme Des Garcons Spring/Summer 2011
Love this collection, a really clever idea. Has quite a creepy and dark feel to it. Made me think of the darker side to the fairy tale.
I feel that if a collection can evoke an emotional that it must be good, and this one definately does!

Maison Martin Margiela goes 2D

Martin Margiela Spring/Summer 2011

This collection is breath-taking just like all his other collections. I would have liked to see a back view of the garments so I know how it all works.

Little Russian Dolls

Kenzo. Paris Spring/Summer 2011

"It was more performance art than a runway, each look was a production within itself that told the story of its own." - Trendland

Links in well with the childhood, fairy tale feel I have to my project. I love the way the collection is shown more as a art piece than a fashion runway show. Its one of those shows you would definitely remember.

Typography...maps

Maps that are made up of the exact street names etc

Designed by Andy Woodruff and axis maps, an absolutely amazing idea! I'm shocked it's never been done before.

LUGGAGE LOVE

Sp pleased I could cry!

Clever Ikea

Guerilla Marketing at its best

Ikea decided to advertise in a tube station in Paris....comfy stuff!

Nice little read...

Inspiration...I might have to just buy myself a copy

Lovely stuff

Who is Patrizia? (Pepe) Campaign

I really like the way these ads relate to the brand, its simple but clever and just shows little things really make a difference.

Caroline Andrieu

So detailed and realistic...and just lovely

Fashion Illustrations that I have fallen in love with. I think its important for me to look into other sectors of the design industry throughout this project for inspiration and to give me a wider knowledge of who's out there!

Richard Avedon

A favourite of mine....really like his style of photography

Promotion

I've started to look more at videos used to promote designers collection for ideas and inspirations for my 3rd year.In 3rd year I would quite like to continue using videos to promote my products as I really enjoy creating and editing the video footage.
I want to look more into promoting my products after they have been created as it is an interest of mine.

Reiss

Really get a feel for what their concept is...

Roland Robinson

An amazing artist.....origami clothing. Unique and wonderful!

Japenese photogragher

I love the bright colours in contrast with the plain backdrops and the way the photographs look so grainy and old

Taku Onoda...
In love with this....

Adore Suno

My new favourite...I love everything about the collection!
